Tony Tauer

Tony Tauer has been involved in the rental industry for more than 10 years. He began his career with Rental Tools & Equipment, which was later purchased by United Rentals. He was involved in the management buyout of United Rentals Special Event Division and later became vice president of the newly formed company. After branching out on his own in 2004, he designed and built American Event Services’ fleet of air conditioning units.

Tauer currently serves as president and part owner of American Event Services, which supplies temperature control, power distribution and generators to special events nationwide. He has been involved in major events, including the PGA Championship, the Super Bowl, the U.S. Open, the Ryder Cup, and the Olympics.

Tauer is a 1990 graduate of the University of North Carolina/Greensboro. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys riding motorcycles and motocross racing. He is also an avid writer with hopes to write the next “great American novel.”
